USA Diving Board of Directors blocks rise
in dues
Responding to concerns expressed by a number of our member
clubs, the USA Diving Board of Directors voted unanimously
Sept. 29 to suspend the fee schedule included in the budget
presented at the 2004 annual meeting to allow time for
an in-depth examination of the business consequences for
our clubs and our members.
Between Oct. 1 and Dec. 1, only new registrations, not
renewals of existing registrations, will be accepted by
the National Office or by local registration chairs. Registrations
for new individual memberships will be accepted according
to the fee schedule in effect for 2004. New clubs seeking
to register with USA Diving between Oct. 1 and Dec. 1
should contact the National Office for additional information.
The Board of Directors has taken this action to ensure
that any changes to our fee schedule serve the needs of
the organization and our club members as effectively as
possible, and are structured in such a way as to derive
the maximum benefit for all. Adjustments to the fee schedule
for 2005 remain possible, but the Board is determined
that any changes will be fully explained and fairly administered.
